A bet with a friend prompted this 19 year old to purchase his first home.
A passion for property and a bet with a friend helped prompt 19 year old Lindsay to take the plunge and purchase his first property. “I had always had an interest in property – and was keen to get a foot in the property market as early as possible,” said Lindsay.
“A bet with a friend that I would purchase a property by the time I turned 19 was an extra incentive.” But without the deposit, many of the major banks rejected Linsday’s application for a home loan.
Not deterred, he contacted Smartline Broker Cathy Bell – who negotiated with the various lenders and managed to secure Lindsay a 100 per cent home loan from St George.
Linsday was able to purchase a two-bedroom unit in Penrith. He is currently renovating and plans to move into his new home shortly.
