If it’s an outstanding level of service that you need, Brenton Patterson will work hard to exceed your expectations. He says that it’s the little things that matter, particularly when supporting clients with financial matters. “I’m easily contactable, I always return phone calls in a timely manner, and I use language that’s easily understood – there’s nothing worse than hearing jargon, bank-speak or weasel words when you’re trying to finance a property purchase,” Brenton explains.
“I do whatever I can to support my clients and take the pressure off during what can sometimes be a stressful process. And it’s the little things that matter, like maintaining contact at every stage of the loan process – when making the application, during approval, when receiving the loan offer and documentation – and making sure clients understand the product, its structure and the reasons why I’ve recommended the product.”
Brenton starts by making sure he clearly understands his clients’ requirements. “I begin by asking a range of appropriate questions to gain an understanding of my client’s situation and then I’ll suggest products I feel are most appropriate for the client’s needs and, most importantly, I’ll run through the product benefits,” he says. “Throughout the process – and at any other time my clients need to speak with me – I’m available to visit them at home or at work, or in our Smartline state office during the day, evening or on the weekend.”
With his more than 30 years’ experience in the lending and finance industry, Brenton offers his clients a wealth of expertise – from those new to purchasing property, right through to experienced investors who require a high level of expertise to meet their complex requirements.
Brenton’s experience includes 27 years with South Australia’s leading credit union, of which six of those years he worked with customers as a mobile lender. In 2007 Brenton joined Mortgage Force, which merged with Smartline in July 2009.
