Cathy Anderson - Personal Mortgage Adviser

Cathy Anderson is one of Australia’s most successful and recognised mortgage brokers, with a string of awards attesting to her extensive knowledge and expertise, commitment to outstanding customer service and passion for meeting the needs of her clients.

Named Smartline’s Franchise Owner of the Year four years in a row and Broker of the Year in the Australian Mortgage Awards. Cathy has also won several Mortgage and Finance Industry Association of Australia (MFAA) awards, including being named MFAA Operator of the Year, the highest accolade in the Australian mortgage broking industry.

Cathy takes her role very seriously as a trusted adviser who helps her clients achieve their goals.

“I love being able to exceed the expectations of clients, who initially see me believing that my role will simply be to them get a home loan for a new property or to refinance but then discover that I can add considerable value to their overall financial situation,” Cathy said.

“In building meaningful and long-term relationships with my clients I am able to assist them to manage their finances to achieve their goals, help them maximise opportunities and manage any unforeseen challenges.”

Cathy joined Smartline in 2005, opening up the Blackwood office, and has more than 26 years of finance industry experience. She is able to offer the products of all the 25 lenders on the Smartline panel.

Accredited with the MFAA, Cathy has completed her Certificate IV and Diploma in Finance Services (Financing/Mortgage Broking) and RG146 studies, allowing her to provide general insurance advice.

“I am very grateful for the fact that I have been able to build my business on the referrals of my many satisfied clients and that they feel they can recommend my services with confidence,” she said.

Cathy operates a statewide broking service from an office at 174 Main Road, Blackwood. She is a mobile broker servicing all areas including but not limited to Eden Hills, Hawthorn Dene and St Marys and can visit you in the comfort of your own home, or if you prefer, you can visit her at her office where car parking is no problem.

Alison Blieschke - Financial Planner

Alison Blieschke - Financial Planner Alison Blieschke is our very own qualified financial planner. Alison joined our award winning team here at Smartline Blackwood and is able to offer you complimentary reviews on life, total and permanent disablement, trauma and income protection insurance.

Alison commenced her career in 1988 and has a broad and solid understanding of the financial industry having worked with a range of companies in varying roles. She has also gained from firsthand experience an understanding of how to successfully run a small business and the challenges involved. Alison is an Affiliate Member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia, with experience in all aspects of the financial planning industry.

Gary Mickan - Loan Administrator Consultant

We welcome Gary's wealth of knowledge and expertise from his business and banking background. His customer service skills are second to none and Gary is an invaluable support to Cathy and the team at Blackwood.

Gary will process all applications in a prompt and efficient manner, to the various Bank Lending Departments to ensure that each client's loan submission is approved within set time frames.

Ann-Marie McCormick - Loan Administrator Consultant

Ann-Marie comes to us with many years of banking experience and credit knowledge. Our clients are well looked after by Ann-Marie who keeps everybody informed with timely information and updates on all things financial.

Marie Whittall - Loan Administrator Consultant

Marie comes to the Smartline Blackwood team after many years with one of Australia's major banks and is an invaluable support to Cathy. Her level of experience means she understands the lending process and will always be proactive in avoiding any unnecessary delays. She assists in managing client files from loan submission through to post settlement, ensuring a hassle free process for all clients.

Belinda Wong - Office Manager

Belinda welcomes everyone who enters the office and will direct your phone calls through to the appropriate member of our team. While managing our client care program she, along with everyone else in our Smartline Blackwood team, will make sure you get the best service possible.
