Ian Simpson - Personal Mortgage Adviser

Ian Simpson has built an enviable reputation with his clients and peers. The depth of his understanding of finance has meant that his clients have seen significant benefits as a result of his guidance and expertise. Ian’s personal and passionate interest in property investment means he is well placed to assist a broad range of buyers and investors.

“I work closely with clients to understand their goals and, as a result, offer solutions that make a significant impact on their financial future,” he explains. “In my 16 years’ experience in banking and finance I’ve developed a knowledge to be able to explain the various products, processes and procedures in a plain speaking and friendly way.” Ian takes great pride in the quality of service he offers clients that has been developed throughout many years.

He has 10 years’ investment banking experience, which includes intense interest rate dealings for organisations such as Macquarie Bank. He also spent several years working in the London financial markets. Ian has six years’ experience as a personal mortgage adviser with Mortgage Force, which merged with Smartline in July 2009. Having built such a wealth of experience and expertise, and as a keen property investor himself, Ian is well placed to support clients making a property purchase, which can be a stressful and time-consuming process.

“My clients, quite rightly, expect that I will work closely with them to understand their unique requirements and make the borrowing process simple and stress-free,” he says. “Not only do I support clients in this way, but I also provide ongoing support and management of their interest rate profile, which is valued by my existing clients. I take great pride in the fact that my client list has grown largely as a result of word-of-mouth referrals and my business relationships.”

Ian currently serves clients all over Australia as well as expatriates living in London, Hong Kong, New York and Singapore. He has expertise in supporting business professionals and experienced property investors.

Ian's mortgage broking business is based in Balmain. He is fully mobile and services all areas of the Sydney metropolitan area including but not limited to Rozelle, Lilyfield and Drummoyne and can visit you outside of working hours in the comfort of your own home.
