Exceeding client expectations is the complete focus of Martin’s service. As his business has been built largely on client referrals, it’s a huge compliment every time a client refers someone new because of their own great experience.

Martin will ensure that you’ll receive excellent service which means matching the loan or loans to your needs, both immediate and long term, and ensuring the process is straightforward. You’ll be kept informed along the way, and after the loan settles he’ll stay in touch.

People’s circumstances often change so he offers an ongoing service – a ‘client for life’ program. As you have a Dentist and a Doctor, Martin will be ongoing your Personal Mortgage Adviser.

After twelve years of mortgage lending experience as well as personal experience in buying, renovating and selling properties, Martin enjoys sharing that knowledge. For eight years he’s been a guest lecturer in investment property financing at TafeSA, UniSA and NSW’s The Property School.

Martin always has a positive attitude and believes in adapting his approach to the client. For example he’ll take time to educate First Home Owners about the buying and lending processes and help them put together a savings plan for their first home. He has also assisted countless property investors in this way.

Additionally, Martin is a Justice of the Peace and can witness your important documents. Martin is available seven days a week and services the Adelaide metropolitan area including but not limited to Hackney, Bowden and Fitzroy or you’re welcome to drop into his North Adelaide offices where you’ll be made to feel at home.

Miriam Castilla (nee Agnos) - Personal Mortgage Adviser

Miriam believes in growing with her clients. “I structure my clients’ loans to suit their present and future circumstances. It is the most important part of my service,” says Miriam. “I often see new clients whose old loan structure made holding onto their investment property way too expensive and we restructure to free up cash flow. This is obviously crucial when you’re trying to build wealth. Most people are also unaware that their relationship with me should be an ongoing one. It’s important to keep checking in to ensure their loan structure still suits their situation.” she adds.

Miriam’s clients enjoy the benefit of her wide industry experience. She spent eight years in conveyancing and a short time working for a lender before joining Smartline. “My experience in different parts of the industry means that I can be proactive and avoid any potential problems or delays,” she says. “I’d like all my clients to walk away from a transaction, saying ‘that was SO easy!’”

Miriam’s planning skills and strong industry background are an asset for aspiring and committed property investors. “First home owners often don’t realise they can plan for property investment over the next couple of years and they’re pleasantly surprised when I show them how,” she explains. Miriam also says that she comes across a lot of people who are starting again from scratch; be it following a separation or through other circumstances. “It’s important to know that you can build your wealth up again by putting a plan in place. I aim to empower people so they can make choices about their future.”

As a mother of two young children, Miriam knows what it’s like to juggle work and family but she also manages to squeeze in time to volunteer as a motivational speaker for kids. “I find working with kids very rewarding as they are completely honest. I want them to know that they do not need to get caught up in peer pressure, that they are in control and have choices.”

Miriam operates out of a centrally located office in North Adelaide, servicing clients all over Adelaide. “Our office has been created with a personal and relaxed ambience. We want people to come in and feel comfortable, not intimidated. It’s all part of delivering an outstanding level of service to our clients,” she says.

Anna Remphrey - Office Manager

Anna’s smiling face fronts our inviting North Adelaide office. She helps provide excellent customer care, liaising with banks and clients to ensure everything keeps running smoothly. She ensures clients are kept up to date on the progress of their loan. She is also very experienced at trouble shooting and in her friendly and efficient manner helps to sort out all kinds of issues for clients promptly and with minimal fuss.
