Michael Ryan - Personal Mortgage Adviser

Michael owns and operates a fully mobile mortgage adviser service. He has a thorough knowledge of the Geelong, Ballarat and the South West Coast property markets and has built strong community, business and sporting relationships.

Prior to joining Smartline, Michael spent 27 years at a major bank where he rose up the ranks winning various awards, becoming team leader covering all facets of mortgage lending and finally Area Manager of South West Victoria.

Michael attributes his success to “establishing strong relationships and building trust with his clients”. He believes this is done through honesty, being highly motivated, understanding and listening to what the customer wants, having clear communication, embedding a strong customer focus and finally adding value by providing a quality product choice.

Michael ensures his clients “are treated with respect and always honours his commitment”. He believes that by keeping abreast of market updates, he is able to provide clients with competitive and innovative loan products to suit their needs.

Michael analyses the long-term goals of each client and then uses Smartline’s specialist software to tailor loan solutions. If he thinks a lender is taking their time with an application, he will chase them up and keep his client informed every step of the way.

As a result of his commitment and local knowledge, the majority of Michael’s clients come from referrals. His business is based around building lasting relationships and having clients for life. He offers a fully mobile service and is happy to visit clients outside of work hours and on weekends - whenever it best suits them. He services all areas including but not limited to Barwon Heads and Ocean Grove and can visit you outside of working hours in the comfort of your own home. He can look after all your financing needs including personal loans, leasing and commercial and business financing.

Amanda Ryan - Loan Writer

With over 17 years of finance experience, Amanda Ryan knows it is essential to have a broker who listens. “My clients always feel comfortable in discussing their situation with me. It is critical when arranging a loan to listen and fully understand what my clients are after so they end up with the right product to suit their needs,” says Amanda.

Amanda prides herself on her efficiency and as an honest and conscientious personal mortgage adviser. Amanda loves helping clients in a way which will ensure ongoing referral of her service. She keeps the communication channels open and aims to remain one step ahead of the Banks and any problems her clients may encounter. “Identifying my clients individual needs, having clear communication and delivering a service which is timely and professional are all important when arranging a loan for my clients,” Amanda explains.
