My partner and I inherited a complicated loans situation. For good reasons at the time, we had taken out piecemeal loans over some six properties. The loans were however always difficult to relate to one another and to securities. In time it became imperative to remedy the situation - we needed to rationalise and to arrange our affairs to allow for more independence.

We had been dealing with an adviser or loans broker who had become impossible to contact and who had apparently lost interest in any of our problems, failing to return calls, deputising etc. After being treated in that way we did not wish to deal with that organisation any more, but we felt “locked out” of access to the primary lenders with whom we wished to make changes. Peoples’ situations change with time within the term of a loan, and mortgage brokers need to understand that.

After enlisting Sandra Dennis’ assistance, several patient meetings took place. We allowed some time for her to work out the intricate web, and then she then came to us with proposals specifically targeting our individual needs. Minor adjustments followed and in short the whole situation was placed on a clearer footing, costs were clearly indicated and acceptable, and in the few instances where immediate action was not in our interest (exit fees etc), plans were put in place to deal with those at the appropriate time.

I liked the Smartline concept of the local person, and Sandra provides a very personal service and she listens. I am delighted that we engaged her services and I would not consider using anyone else when or if the need arises in the future.
