My husband and I recently worked with WA Adviser, Simon Hassett, when refinancing our property for development. Being a Business Development Manager for a national services organisation myself, I know the value of customer service and Simon met and exceeded our expectations on all counts.

We first got in contact with Simon in June 2009 when we were looking at refinancing our existing lender. We were facing a substantial amount of lenders mortgage insurance due to the way they structured their lending. We had no idea who to call as we had never used a broker before, I actually did a google search, found Mortgage Force and was put onto Simon. I explained our situation and he advised he would help us if he could. Within a short space of time he had made several inquiries and advised that we would not be better off refinancing with another lender due to the exit fees involved in our current loan. I appreciated his effort and more so his honesty in not trying to sell us a product which would see us worse off. I was so impressed by Simon that I asked him to send through his details so we could keep him in mind for any future refinancing.

It wasn't too long before we needed him. Our existing lender declined our finance on a house behind house development as the land wasn't yet formally subdivided as they felt there was too much risk involved with a partial demolition of the existing property. I was straight on the phone to Simon and he swung into action. Simon put us onto a new lender and worked through multiple stumbling blocks. At all stages of the process Simon kept us informed and if we had any queries he acted on them straight away. Simon also tailored the process to suit our needs including visiting us at home to complete the paperwork and accommodating our time lines due to demolition and construction.

It took several weeks to get there in the end but I cannot express how happy we were with Simon's service. Regardless of the hurdle we encountered, Simon was ready with potential options and never gave up. Simon's technical knowledge, frankness and genuineness are definitely his greatest assets and help him build rapport with his clients quickly.

My husband and I plan to undertake more subdivisions which will no doubt require further finance applications. You can be certain that as long as Simon is around we will choose him to organise our finance. Furthermore, I would not hesitate to recommend Simon.
