As an award-winning and highly experienced mortgage adviser, Julie’s outstanding knowledge of the lending products, structures and policies across the industry is matched by her personable and caring approach.
‘I like to spend a lot of time with my customers, because I want to make sure that they’re absolutely happy with what they’re doing, I don’t want them to have any concerns or feel unsure about anything,’ she says. ‘At the end of the day what I care about most is making people happy.’
Julie always takes the time to listen to her customers to find out all she can about their current circumstances and future goals, before providing advice and presenting a solution. She says the best thing about being part of Smartline is having access to such a wide variety of loans. ‘I find that because every lender has its own niche for different products or policies, there are so many opportunities to find a loan that is a really great fit for each client’s individual needs.’
Attentive and responsive, Julie provides her clients with professional support at all stages of the borrowing process. ‘I’m very patient and work hard to ensure that my clients understand all the details of their loan and know exactly where they stand,’ she says. ‘I’m always happy to explain all the intricacies of the loan policies so they know what it means and how it will affect them. Once a client’s application is submitted, I keep them in the loop with what’s happening and come back to them quickly if they have any queries.’
Julie’s professional expertise has been honed over several decades in the banking and lending industry. She held Customer Service, Lending and Management roles at Bankwest for around 17 years before joining Smartline in 2000. Her credentials include an Advanced Diploma of Accounting, and Julie has also won close to 20 awards – both individually and as part of the Bunbury Smartline office.
Julie works with clients in and around the Bunbury region, and is happy to have meetings in her office or she can travel to her clients’ homes or workplaces. Her work hours are flexible and she is available for after-hours appointments during the week and on weekends. Julie can assist with all types of loans including home loans, first home buyers, investment property loans, and personal loans.

Sandy Bocchetti – PA
Sandy Bocchetti joined Smatline in 2014 in a Personal Assistant role. Sandy brings 30 years of banking experience with ANZ to Smartline. Sandy has an extensive knowledge of banking and finance having worked in many different areas of the ANZ with the last 10 years in the commercial lending department.
Sandy was raised in Bunbury and loves the community and lifestyle the city offers.
Lorna Burden – PA
Lorna joined the Smartline team in February 2016 and brings over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry with her. She has worked for the Bunbury branches of the Commonwealth and ANZ Banks, covering a variety of roles including customer service, settlements, lending and assistant manager.
Lorna completed a Diploma in Finance (Conveyancing) in 2010 during her time as a settlement agent, and believes that her knowledge and experience in both banking and conveyancing industries will assist in her role as PA.
Lorna enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
Janine Cole – PA
Janine Cole has joined the team at Smartline Bunbury Team as a personal assistant. With a professional background in finance, high-level organisational skills and customer-focused approach, Janine is always ready to assist you throughout the borrowing process.
Janine is experienced in the finance industry, having spent 12 years as Home & Investment Lending Manager with a big-four bank. ‘During this time, my duties included interviewing and signing up customers, processing applications, and liaising with brokers, settlement agents and real estate agents,’ she says.
Her professionalism has earned several awards for excellence, including Top Mortgage File Compliance and Mortgage Sales for Regional Australia. ‘I achieved these awards by having a great knowledge of banking procedures and policies, and maintaining a close, trusting relationship with my customers,’ she explains.
She provides essential administrative support and liaison in the Team to ensure all customers’ loans are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
