“I made the move from banking into mortgage broking as a result of my desire to provide clients with a professional, tailored and customer-focused service that adds real value for them.

Karen’s knowledge, passion and client focus has seen her become one of the most highly respected and recognised mortgage brokers in Australia, with a string of Smartline, industry and business awards.
In addition to more than 135 years of combined banking and broking experience, the Smartline Cleveland team is able to meet the needs of clients by working closely with a strong network of local and respected business partners who provide valuable expertise in the areas of real estate, financial planning, property law, building/developing and personal insurance.

With more than 20 years’ experience in the mortgage industry, Loan Administrator Sonia Mackenzie has outstanding home loan knowledge and is well placed to guide Smartline Cleveland clients through the home loan process.

Erin Le Comte – Office Manager
Erin joined Smartline in January 2012 as our office administrator and has since gradually acquired numerous skills and become the office ‘all rounder’.
In addition to being Smartline Cleveland’s Office & Accounts Manager and Marketing & Events Coordinator, Erin is able to assist new & existing clients as a Loans Administrator too.
“Having learned many aspects of the business, I can generally assist new & existing clients with most enquiries. If there’s something I am unsure of, I will make it my business to find out.”

Erin has recently completed her Cert IV in Finance and is learning more and more about mortgage broking every day.
Ryan Anderson – Loans Administrator
With a background in retail customer service, Ryan joined the Smartline Cleveland team late 2015. Ryan is able to recognise and meet customer’s wants and needs and make their experience with Smartline Cleveland one to remember for all the right reasons.
Ryan’s organisation and eye for detail makes the loan process free from any stress or confusion.
As Loans Administrator, Ryan is usually first point of call when welcoming new clients or assisting our valued existing clients. He guides them through their application or servicing needs right until the end.
