‘When arranging a loan for my customers, I like to put myself in their shoes,’ she says. ‘That way I can build an understanding of their unique circumstances, which allows me to then offer honest, informed advice and present loan options that align with their needs.’

Kara has several strategies to ensure her customers receive the highest level of service and that their borrowing experience is efficient and stress-free. She takes a proactive approach to communication, and is always ready to answer questions and provide assistance as required – by email, over the phone and in person. ‘I aim to provide 100% service to my clients to help them achieve their dream of owning a home,’ she says.

By their nature, mortgages and loans can be highly complex, and Kara expertly guides her customers through their applications with her trademark care and attention to detail, ensuring all documentation is in order to deliver a smooth lending process. ‘In life, I believe difference between losing and winning is all in the details,’ she says.

Kara joined Smartline in 2020. She has worked in the finance/lending industry for over 15 years and has a proven track record in finance services, customer service and sales. During her career she has won several industry awards in recognition of her dedication and expertise, including a state award in Protection Assets.

Kara is based in Inala. A long-term resident of the western suburbs, she is highly active within the community and has a great knowledge of the local market. She is fully mobile and can assist clients with home loans, investment loans, business and commercial loans and asset finance.

Alan Le – Personal Mortgage Adviser

As a personal mortgage adviser, Alan Le specialises in supporting his clients with all the information and advice they need to secure their home loan, car finance or business loan.

‘My priority is to help clients plan their financial future through property purchases or meeting their financial needs,’ he says.

Friendly and knowledgeable, Alan is focused on providing a personal and attentive service and works hard to maintain open lines of communication as his clients move through each stage of their borrowing journey. He says the most important aspect of his role as an adviser is to begin with an in-depth discussion about their current and future needs and expectations. Gaining this understanding helps him identify a suitable loan that will help them achieve these objectives.

‘It all starts with relationships and advice,’ he says. ‘If you’re dealing with someone who shares your values, takes the time to ask and listen to fully understand what’s important in your life and your future goals, then you are going to get something much better than just a loan. You have a clear plan that someone you trust and respect has developed with you, not just been sold a product off the shelf then sent on your way. All this helps to make the borrowing process less stressful for my customers.’

Alan holds a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking and, having owned and operated several successful servicing businesses over two decades, has high-level skills in business marketing and financial management. Prior to becoming a mortgage adviser he was Marketing and Processing Manager for the Inala Smartline office. During this time he gained an extensive knowledge of the various loan products and policies on offer, as well as procedural expertise, and is well-placed to guide his clients through the complexities of the borrowing process.
