When the bank says no, you don’t have to accept their answer as the be all and end all, if you have the truth on your side (and the evidence to prove it).
I had a situation where a bank had incorrectly established a client’s loan which some years later resulted in the incorrect charging of interest.
I went to the bank on the clients’ behalf and sought an interest adjustment exceeding $1,000. Fully justified and evidence provided.
Banks said NO. Client signed the loan documents it’s their problem.
Went back into bat for the client. Two weeks later the bank has fully refunded the interest difference to the client. They now have a happy client.
