Richard Denholm joined Smartline in 2011 and has been in the business of ‘making dreams come true’ ever since.

‘For me, the focus is on maximising our clients’ chance of success so they can go on to fulfil their home ownership dreams and take control of their future. That’s what we’re here to do,’ he says.

Thanks to Richard’s extensive experience and high-level qualifications, his clients are in good hands. He’s worked in banking, accounting and finance for the past 30 years, during which time he’s accumulated an in-depth understanding of loan products and lender policies. In addition to his professional experience, Richard holds a Bachelor of Information Systems, an Associate Diploma in Business (Accounting) and a Diploma of Finance and Banking. ‘Undertaking years of study while working wasn’t always easy, but it demonstrates my dedication and commitment to ensuring I’m well equipped to provide every customer with a positive outcome,’ he says.

Richard works with every customer on an individual level. ‘When arranging a loan I like to obtain a full understanding of their situation and what they would like to achieve,’ he explains. ‘Part of my role is to identify any particular challenges or difficulties they may face in securing a loan, so I can assess their options and take them to a lender with a favourable policy for that particular issue. That’s where my extensive knowledge and experience as a broker comes in.’

As an enthusiastic ‘early adopter’ of new technologies, Richard says he strives to remain at the forefront of technologies to strengthen business operations and streamline the borrowing process for his clients. ‘I’m very thorough and very meticulous,’ he adds. ‘I pride myself on the fact that I give my clients 110 per cent.’

Based in Rokeby, Richard can assist clients across the Hobart metro region and southern Tasmania with home loans, first home buyer loans, construction loans, debt consolidation, and commercial equipment and car loans.

When he’s not in the office, Richard can generally be found on the golf course, where he plays off a handicap of 4.

‘I started working with Richard in March 2018 as admin support,’ she says. ‘I quickly developed an affinity for the industry and decided to advance my career by completing a Certificate IV and Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Services to qualify as a loan writer.’

With her honest, up-front approach and excellent communication skills, Lee now prides herself on delivering the highest level of customer service to help her clients achieve their financial goals. ‘When arranging a loan, I believe it’s crucial to first listen to my clients’ needs so I can obtain the ideal outcome for their circumstances,’ she says.

Specialising in home and investment loans, Lee is proactive about keeping up to date with the ever-evolving loans market. ‘Having an extensive knowledge of the range lender products available means I can match clients with the loan that’s right for them,’ she says.

Efficient and organised, Lee capably oversees her customer’s loan applications as they progress. ‘I keep them updated during the process and reply promptly to enquiries,’ she says. ‘Ultimately, my aim is to fulfil my clients’ needs and see them happy.’

Allan is an experienced personal mortgage adviser with wide-ranging financial experience who optimises outcomes for his clients by assessing every loan from their perspective.

‘My key strategy is to listen to my clients’ needs and expectations and work as hard as possible to help them achieve their goals,’ he says. ‘More importantly, I have empathy for their situation and the tenacity to find the lending solutions that are going to work well for them over the long term.’

With a focus on delivering excellent service, Allan always goes the extra mile to meet his clients’ expectations. He is familiar with banking procedures and works with attention to detail and efficiency to expedite each stage of the lending process.

Alan has worked in finance and lending for 39 years, and his breadth of experience in all areas of the industry informs his holistic approach and underpins the trusted advice he is able to offer clients. ‘During my career, I spent 10-plus years in financial planning, including general insurance and personal insurance; and 20-plus years in banking, where I worked my way up from teller to branch manager. Prior to joining Smartline I was Bank Manager at Bendigo Bank Community Branch in Sorell,’ he says.
