I have lived in the South West for over 19 years. I thoroughly enjoy helping South West locals, people from all across the country and even overseas, achieve their financial goals.
I have over 30 years of experience in the banking and lending industry including 15 years as a Mortgage Broker. I pride myself on providing professional, ethical and honest advice with the highest level of customer service to all of my clients.

To me, being a great mortgage broker is more than just having great industry knowledge. It’s about listening to you, taking your plans and future goals into consideration, then helping you to make an informed decision on the loan that suits your individual needs.
It’s true that the loan process can be complex, time-consuming, and stressful. My goal is to ease this burden by making it simple and straightforward.

I feel incredibility fortunate to have so many ‘lifelong clients’ who continue to turn to me for advice, often many years after our initial meeting. Chanae Coughlan – Personal Mortgage Adviser

Chanae prides herself on being attentive and respectful, and really listening to her clients so she can accurately determine their borrowing needs and expectations.
“I place very high importance on being open and transparent with clients – this is the foundation for trust and the building of long term relationships,” says Chanae.
She is highly knowledgeable on the wide variety of lending products available, and ensures she keeps up to date on new products coming onto the market. Her background as a Credit Analyst means she has a thorough knowledge of the credit assessment process, including how to structure deals to best suit her client’s needs and how best to present them to lenders.

David Gaynes – Personal Mortgage Adviser
I have come to Smartline to continue my Finance Broker career after having served a 10 year tenure with another leading mortgage aggregator, which commenced back in 2006. Prior to this, I was with the Royal Australian Air Force where I spent over 18 years in finance and administration. I have a Diploma in Financial Services and a Certificate IV in financial planning.
Smartline Bedford is the latest office in Rod Holt’s Smartline broking business, and has been opened to assist the financial needs of Perth based clients.
I can help with a range of finance requirements including residential and investment property lending, commercial and business loans, vehicle and equipment finance and unsecured personal loans.
I relish helping my clients fulfill their dreams and aspirations, whether it be buying their first home or investing in their future. It’s a very important, exciting and sometimes stressful time when buying a property. Therefore my main goal is to ensure I make the whole process as easy as possible for my clients.
I make sure I understand my client’s current financial position, and then recommend lending options that will meet their needs. I like to provide my client a pleasant, simple and stress-free consultation experience.

Shane Galbraith – Personal Mortgage Adviser
Shane is a passionate mortgage adviser who is dedicated to exceeding customer expectations. Professional, friendly and trustworthy, Shane always puts his clients first, going above and beyond to ensure a seamless borrowing process.

Andrew is a multi-award winning mortgage adviser who is both personable and professional, with an outstanding knowledge of the lending products, structures and various bank policies across the industry.
Solving problems is Andrew’s speciality. He is adept at looking at all the pieces of the puzzle and persevering until a solution is found.

Gai Boyland – Client Services Manager
Gai joined the team at Smartline Dunsborough (formerly The Mortgage Gallery) in June 2015 as Personal Assistant to Franchise owner Rod Holt. Gai has in excess of 30 yrs experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining us she served with Bankwest for 17 years climbing through the ranks from Teller in Kondinin to Business Banking Manager in Margaret River.
Gai’s financial service skills combined with her branch experience gives her a solid foundation of customer service that compliments the Smartline Dunsborough Team. Gai enjoys the challenge of serving the needs of our clients and working as part of the Dunsborough team. She is an enthusiastic, valuable and committed member of the team.
Gai is a local girl, an avid West Coast Eagles supporter and a besotted Grandmother of 2.
Ali Holt – Manager and Administration
Alison Holt commenced working with Smartline (formerly The Mortgage Gallery) in August 2006 with the launch of the Margaret River franchise. Ali (as she is better known) had previously worked in Pharmacy Retail for over 20 years and hence has a wealth of customer service experience. She decided to take a new challenge into office administration when she commenced with The Mortgage Gallery.
Ali’s role has several facets, the main being office manager controlling the financial accounts, marketing and advertising activities, office receptionist and assisting Rod manage his day to day work load.
Ali looks forward to meeting customers and assist them achieve their financial goals.
