Steve Baskerville has worked in the finance/lending industry for 30 years, and as a Smartline Personal Mortgage Adviser, he is dedicated to helping his clients achieve their property ownership and financial goals.
“Prior to joining Smartline, I spent 10 years with the CBA in both business and personal finance,” Steve says. “I also had two years with Bankwest as a mobile lending manager. I have now been a broker servicing the Bunbury community for 18 years.”
Steve has built his reputation on honesty, integrity and great customer service. He understands and respects each client’s individual circumstances, and prides himself on taking a personal, friendly approach and “treating every client how I would like to be treated”.
“The most rewarding part of my job is helping my clients achieve the dream of owning their home and seeing them prosper,” he says. “To this end, I listen to my clients’ objectives and strive to deliver positive outcomes. I am diligent, details-oriented, and I aim to make the process easy and stress-free for my clients by keeping them updated and informed at all times,” he says.
An avid Geelong supporter, Steve spends his free time at the gym and playing basketball. He enjoys the economic development and active lifestyle of the Bunbury community.

Rebecca Baskerville – Personal Mortgage Adviser

With her strong work ethic, commitment to customer service, and details-focused approach, Rebecca works hard to make the borrowing process stress-free and successful for her clients.
As an experienced personal mortgage adviser, Rebecca’s business ethos is based on ‘care’. ‘My priority is to take care of my clients; in doing so, I take care in the quality of my work,’ she explains. ‘I foster strong partnerships by finding out what my clients’ objectives are before offering informed advice. It’s my role to support them in their decision-making to ensure the end product suits their needs and wants.’
Rebecca is a proactive communicator who likes to keep clients informed as their loan progresses through the various stages. ‘I always go the extra mile by covering-off on what I call the ‘one-percenters’ of the job – follow-ups, regular updates, double-checking details – which make such a difference to the overall customer experience,’ she says. ‘I believe good communication results in a smoother, easier journey through the application process.’
Rebecca has worked in the banking and finance industry for over 20 years and brings substantial expertise to her clients. ‘For the past 10 years I have worked specifically in retail banking and broker management, which has given me a thorough knowledge of lending assessment procedures, as well as the many loan products and policies available on the market.’
Based at Mandurah, Rebecca provides a mobile service across the surrounding regions including South West and Perth. She specialises in assisting with home loans, investment loans, business loans and car finance.
Sandy Bocchetti – PA
Sandy Bocchetti joined Smatline in 2014 in a Personal Assistant role. Sandy brings 30 years of banking experience with ANZ to Smartline. Sandy has an extensive knowledge of banking and finance having worked in many different areas of the ANZ with the last 10 years in the commercial lending department.
Sandy was raised in Bunbury and loves the community and lifestyle the city offers.
Lorna Burden – PA
Lorna joined the Smartline team in February 2016 and brings over 30 years’ experience in the finance industry with her. She has worked for the Bunbury branches of the Commonwealth and ANZ Banks, covering a variety of roles including customer service, settlements, lending and assistant manager.
Lorna completed a Diploma in Finance (Conveyancing) in 2010 during her time as a settlement agent, and believes that her knowledge and experience in both banking and conveyancing industries will assist in her role as PA.
Lorna enjoys travelling and spending time with her family.
Janine Cole – PA
Janine Cole has joined the team at Smartline Bunbury Team as a personal assistant. With a professional background in finance, high-level organisational skills and customer-focused approach, Janine is always ready to assist you throughout the borrowing process.
Janine is experienced in the finance industry, having spent 12 years as Home & Investment Lending Manager with a big-four bank. ‘During this time, my duties included interviewing and signing up customers, processing applications, and liaising with brokers, settlement agents and real estate agents,’ she says.
Her professionalism has earned several awards for excellence, including Top Mortgage File Compliance and Mortgage Sales for Regional Australia. ‘I achieved these awards by having a great knowledge of banking procedures and policies, and maintaining a close, trusting relationship with my customers,’ she explains.
She provides essential administrative support and liaison in the Team to ensure all customers’ loans are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
