As an experienced personal mortgage adviser, Steven Spanos is passionate about finding the right solutions for his clients. He brings a strong work ethic to every business partnership, providing honest, upfront advice and the professional know-how to help borrowers achieve their goals.
‘It’s absolutely essential to match the correct loan to meet each individual customer’s needs, so I spend a lot of time listening to customers, sharing and learning about their life experiences and family so I can truly understand what’s important to them, and what they need from their loan,’ Steven says.
‘I am also very careful to find out any pain points a customer has, in order to alleviate their concerns and reduce their anxiety level. Also from a practical point of view this helps me to find a loan solution that’s structured to suit their circumstances.’
Steven’s approach to customer service is underpinned by honesty, integrity and responsiveness, and he strives to make the application process as simple as possible for his customers. ‘A big part of this is ensuring the customer fully understands and is comfortable with the discussions and any recommendations provided,’ Steven says.
‘As their application progresses, I’m always upfront with customers in relation to requirements and timeframes so they know what to expect throughout. I stay in regular contact throughout the process and respond to all queries and requests promptly. Customers are the centre of everything we do – therefore no question or query is ever too difficult for me to engage in.’
He understands that loans aren’t always ‘set and forget’, and will follow up with clients post-settlement to ensure their loan is continuing to perform well as time goes by.
With 22 years of experience, Steven has held roles in relationship management, personal advising and business banking at some of Australia’s big-four banks. ‘I have managed a broad spectrum of personal and corporate customers, including organising their day-to-day transactional requirements and specifically, originating their lending requirements. These lending requirements comprised property and asset purchases, trade and working capital solutions, as well as the personal home/investment loans and SMSF borrowings,’ he says.
Steven is well-qualified to assist customers across a broad spectrum of loans, including residential and investment home loans, business loans, trade and working capital finance, asset finance and SMSF lending. He is based on the Mornington Peninsula and is fully mobile, with an additional focus on supporting clients in neighboring areas including Frankston, Dandenong, Moorabbin, Springvale, Berwick, Cranbourne, Somerville and regional areas out to Phillip Island.
